Credits

Credits are the unit of consumption on Golem AI. Audits cost a fixed number of credits per run, drawn from the app’s balance.

How credits are scoped

Credits are scoped per app, not per account. Each app carries its own balance, funded by its plan allocation and any recharges. You can see every app’s balance and full ledger history on its Billing and Usage pages.

What consumes credits

The cost is reserved at launch time and debited when the audit starts running.

Refunds

If an audit fails before meaningful work completes — for example, the sandbox can’t provision or the task errors out early — the credits are refunded automatically and appear as a credit entry in the ledger. Partial audits that produced findings are charged normally.

Monitoring usage

The app’s Billing and Usage pages show:
  • Current balance and when it last reset
  • Ledger — every credit grant, debit, refund, and recharge, line by line
  • Per-audit consumption — which audit consumed what

Preventing surprises

  • Use shallow for frequent runs — much cheaper than deep
  • Schedule deliberately — a daily deep schedule costs ~300 credits a month; a daily shallow schedule ~210
  • Watch skipped-schedule alerts — if a scheduled audit can’t run because the app is out of credits, you’ll be notified by email and Slack

Monthly reset

Plan credits reset at the start of each billing cycle. Recharged credits are added on top.
